About Margo
Margo Ross is a Reiki Master Teacher, a mentor, author and non-denominational pastor of LEWA (Light & Energy Workers Association). Currently, Margo teaches all levels of Reiki classes nationally, holds workshops and writes both non-fiction and fiction articles and stories. In the past, Margo held many human service occupations such as high school English teacher, college teacher, Big Brothers Big Sisters case manager, job coach for adults with autism and others.
Born in North Carolina in 1967, Margo began using her subtle but strong awareness gifts spontaneously as a child, hearing other's thoughts, feelings, and spirit guides. She assumed everyone did this too, but by age 8, she abruptly realized that others didn't often use theirs and were displeased with her using hers. To conform, she repressed her gifts. Very aware that she was "different" but remaining compassionate and observant, she learned to be analytical too. After graduating from Appalachian State University with a B.S. in English and minors in education and psychology, she met others like herself. She learned more about her special gifts and insights that were re-emerging. She bought a private session with Allene Cunningham the renowned radio, television & police psychic. Allene compared Margo's growing abilities to massive interstellar "radio" antennas picking up signals & information from all over our universe, inside & out. Later, Margo journeyed with modern shamans, met her own spirit guide animals, and gathered much ethereal Guidance. She learned meditation, hired other gifted readers for more guidance, and read the works of clinical psychologist, Dr. Doreen Virtue, physician-turned-mystic Dr. Miguel Ruiz, Jesus of Nazareth, the Dalai Lama, Dr. David Hawkins, yogis & others.
Eventually, Margo responded to a strong calling to heal, teach, and lead others. Often, other mystics and intuitives sought her support, healing, and guidance to grow on their own profound journeys (many of their comments are on Your Insights). Seeking holistic skills, she completed first and second degrees for Usui Reiki touch energy therapy in 2001, Reiki Master Teacher degree in 2003, and began teaching that same year. Since then, more than 95 Reiki Master Graduates and over 140 other Reiki students have enjoyed the benefits of her diverse work, teachings, & empowering ways. In that same year, Margo returned from teaching English in Japan, opened Indigo Answers and founded the non-profit, LEWA which has hosted mind-body-spirit shows, blood drives, charity drives, and spiritual films such at Indigo, Celestine Prophesy and The Dalai Lama Renaissance. LEWA later evolved to a growing group of non-denominational clergy who represent a wide variety of spiritual paths. In 2004, Margo co-founded Journey of the Spirit, an experiential lecture series in response to popular demand. JOS, voted "Best Free Event" in the Triad by the local newspaper's readership, features a new speaker from a different Path at each gathering. In 2006, Margo co-founded a retreat center in Virginia, but returned to North Carolina to care for her senior citizen parents in 2008 where she also met David Sears, her colleague. |
About David
Born in Arizona in 1958, David Sears started spiritual studies at a very young age, always knowing and sensing that there is much more than what meets the eye. Feeling different from the other boys, he was more interested in experiencing life rather than dominating it. He grew up hiking and roaming in the woods, hunting, fishing, camping out and working on ranches and farms. This led him to many years of studying the art of tracking and other primitive outdoors living skills. During summers, his family regularly traveled across the United States to visit scattered relatives, national parks and famous landmarks from coast to coast, often camping out meeting new friends along the way.
While serving as a crew chief in the U. S. Air Force, David lived and traveled around the world to Germany, Holland, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, England, and Turkey. He also visited and worked in Japan, Korea, the Philippines and Guam, all the while recognizing the commonalities among the cultures. David then came to North Carolina in 1990 to work on airplanes in avionics. He became a proud father in 1991 and volunteered extensively for years for his daughter's school and sports activities.
At the same time, he studied traditional Aikido, a martial art also known as the 'art of peace,' in both America and Japan. He was a voracious reader and student of naturalist and Native American authors, such as Black Elk, Harner, Andrews, Miguel Ruiz, Masuru Emoto, Gregg Braden and Carlos Castaneda. David counts some of the most influential tomes for himself to be: Ancient Secrets of the Flower of Life, The Hopi Survival Kit, The Holographic Universe, Fools Crow, and Autobiography of a Yogi. These led to studies and practices with Raymon Grace, advanced mediation, Reiki, herbalism, energy medicine, Theta Healing, sweat lodges and more time with others of like-mind. Moreover, the lectures and books of Tom Brown Jr. and Dr. David Hawkins especially inspired David to deeper awareness of the Oneness of everything. All these things were the beginning and growth of his conscious journey to remain on the spiritual plane in mind, body and spirit.
In 2009 after completing his Reiki Mastery studies to Teacher level with Margo Ross, David now teaches Reiki and other self-empowering workshops in North Carolina and Virginia. He is also the executive pastor of L.E.W.A. volunteering his time for such things as the blood drive, local charities, local political campaigns, and is one of the hosts of the Journey of the Spirit. Additionally, he officiates customized wedding ceremonies of any type. It is David's personal practice to honor all spiritual Paths, lifestyles, and belief systems of his clients with sincerity and warmth. Currently, he is reading up on Chinese Face Reading, Reiki Shamanism, and reflexology. He also expresses his passion for maintaining the beauty of Beginner's Mind as a new musician and amateur artist. |
